March the 4th
A time of the year when people wish for better weather, but today with so much bad news we have to be stoical, positive and always believe that behind every cloud there is a silver lining.
One of my daughters has just flown back from Paris after visiting her friend of twenty years. Three years ago this friend was in a happy relationship of ten years, until she received shock news, her other half was deceiving her. Like anyone receiving bad news that changes your life and leaves you in a difficult heart breaking situation that’s very hard to deal with. This particular lady is still in her prime of life and she had to walk a difficult road, but still having all her attributes, personality, charisma and lots of love and fun to have with her friends. Those same close friends gave their love and support, which helped her through those difficult times. Today her career has kept on heading upwards, where she now lives in a fabulous apartment in a scenic part of Paris. This story tells me, which is just one of many I’ve experienced. Events can occur which are out of your control, which can almost pick you up like a leaf in the wind, and place you on a path you could not have imagined. A path that sees your star rising where only later you look back and say, “It was meant to be.” I’ve spoken of past stories where angels have appeared, when someone has been so distressed and despondent, that unbeknown to them an higher spiritual power acts in a way to help to them.
I can recall with the gift I have of seeing into the future, where I have found I cannot personally profit material wise for myself. In 1996, I could see property prices rising and my thoughts were about improving the lives of my family, believing with land I owned I can build a couple of properties. This would see me building one home and then selling it, and with the profit build another and just move next door, but the profit would have also afforded me to purchase a second home in Spain. In those next few years I was right in seeing property prices escalate. It is said though the best laid plans are not made by yourself, but are already made by those above of what is to be.This proved to be the situation with myself. Such occurrences can happen in small ways, when perhaps you had planned to visit someone, then due to bad winter weather you found yourself thanking those metaphorical stars above you did not go. I’ve mentioned before one of my son in laws had tried numerous times to find a better position and advance his career with the abilities he had, only to be turned down by being at the wrong door of opportunity. After a number of failures, the right time and place occurred where that special door did open for him, which poses a question for all of us. Do you give up with that feeling you could be in a better place? Do you lose that belief in yourself where you just accept your lot in life? Again I’m making the point that with each of us, we can be at a place in life where you know in within your heart you can see that magical place and reach the sunny horizon that continues to call you.
Thoughts are powerful sparks of energy that can grow and stimulate your mind to achieve far greater things if you have a strong belief it’s the right thing to do. I’ve just been led to see who said beautiful thoughts can change the world, but I was led to this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt who said ... The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. This I have to believe is close to my thinking and philosophy. Then I was led further to see some more interesting quotes... Believe you can, and you are halfway there... so said Theodore Roosevelt uncle to Eleanor... A quote from William Shakespeare, We know what we are, but know what we may be... A quote from Mohammed Ali... I hated every minute of training, but I said, Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life a champion. Another quote to make you think... It is during the darkest moments that we must focus to see the light... Aristotle... Inspiring quotes come from individuals with a great belief in theirselves, and again this lady Eleanor once wife to President Franklin Delano Roosevelt passed on another motivating quote... You must do the things you think you cannot do... Benjamin Franklin was known as a social genius, an inventor of renown, a diplomat and philosopher... this is just one of his many quotes... Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn.
With so many dire situations presently around the world, poignant quotes from once great and famous individuals can bring inspiration, with a belief that there is a different path of thought if you are strong enough to believe in yourself. Each one of these individuals faced a metaphorical bridge where their own individual thoughts brought about their uncompromising attitude and actions to prove later they were right. I’m sure we can each reach a place where there is a metaphorical bridge you know your inner spirit and soul will not rest until you have crossed that great divide. We all are special sparks of light and life, and fear and doubt must not be your companion through life. Regrets are a heavy weight to carry as your years go by. The last quote that touched me was by that incredible human being Mahatma Gandhi saying... Happiness is what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.
